Purposeful Proposals by ~thecolourblue:iconthecolourblue:

the lovely lyrics fleeing from your tongue --
such calumny coupled with
such a cache of clandestine glances
eyelash prances
and twilight dances

the grip of your hand against my arm --
such soft seduction meshed with
such a pulling power of purposeful proposals
cherished touches
torn in pieces

the echoing light emanating from your eyes --
such haunting invitation harnessed with
such a longing of lavishness and lust
languishing love
forever faultering

the festering infection within my heart --
such flawed logic linked with
such a vulnerable piece of flesh
falling again
and getting back up

the Spirit living inside my body --
such precious purity promised with
such a rebirth and renewal
rising up
never to come down.

By reading it out loud, I think you made me break my tongue
This piece has a high dictionary content, but still it reads easily.
I love the first stanza. what beautiful imagery this is good stuff.

"The poet makes himself a seer by a long, prodigious, and rational disordering of all the senses. Every form of love, of suffering, of madness; he searches himself, he consumes all the poisons in him, and keeps only their quintessences."-Arthur Rimbaud
This is beautiful i love your comand of language it really makes the poem stand out. I love the first stanza so much, though i think it's a shame it's set out a rhyme scheme that the rest of the poem doesn't follow. However the poem works well anyway because the language is poetic in itself, overall it's very succesful.

Follow knowledge like a sinking star, beyond the utmost bounds of human thought.
I love it.

he's in my face and I
the shepherd of my days
and I want you here by my heart and my head...
